New books/keys to European ants for 2019

Two new books on European ants have been released in 2019, and we will eb trialling the keys in these books during the course. If you have a copy of either of these books (or have a chance to get one before the course), please bring it along. We have a couple of examples of each in Copenhagen, which we can use during the course, but the more copies we have the better:

Seifert, B. (2018). The Ants of Central and North Europe. Lutra Verlags- und Vertriebsgesellschaft, Tauer, Germany. ISBN 9783936412079

An English edition of Bernhard Seifert's book (see below), expanded with new information.

Find a review of the book in Myrmecological News here

Lebas, C., Galkowski, C., Blatrix, R., and Wegnez, P. (2019). Ants of Britain and Europe - A photographic guide. Bloomsbury Wildlife, London. ISBN 9781472954084

A new book in 2019, which looks promising, and is readily available.

Find it on Google books here.
